  • To raise awareness of the importance of the Farmill as a natural resource, a environmental indicator, the benefits to local economies, and the rich historical significance of the river
  • Creating learning opportunities by integrating State Science curriculum and K-12 class rooms
  • Offer long-term research opportunities to high school students year round
  • Connect experts on Water and River management and research to speak at schools and public forums
  • Guided tours coordinated with local Historical Society
  • Community service opportunities for clean-up and public activities
  • Fishing camps – teaching families and at-risk youth to fish
